本所廖新田教授近期獲邀至墨爾本大學、澳洲國家大學專題演講台灣美術發展史，梳理二戰後臺灣的藝術、歷史、政治交錯發展面貌。
演講主題為：
"The Story of Taiwan - The entanglement of art, history, and politics after WWII"
"Modernity and Cultural Politics: The Rendering of Qi-yun-shen-dong 氣韻生動 and Modernisation of Ink Wash Painting in Taiwan after WWII"
